This is also a key factor when considering a new poker room - how well do they look after their players. There are some fantastic promotions available to new players out there, you just need to know where to find them. When evaluating a poker site we consider the size of new player bonus, the size of monthly bonus, the quality and frequency of ongoing promotions such as spot prizes and free to enter competitions.
So don't underestimate the competitiveness of the poker market at the moment - it is a players market and the bonuses we highlight reflect this.

Payments |

This includes paying in and withdrawing. Paying in methods are pretty much standard across all of the sites - if you've got a credit or debit card you'll be okay.
Withdrawing is where it becomes interesting. The vast majority of poker rooms will only pay back to your credit card the equivalent of the amount of cash you deposited with the remainder being sent to you by cheque. This is fine and works very well but you do sometimes have to wait up to 2 weeks for the cheque to arrive. If it is a UK poker site, it very likely that you can use your debit card. The advantage here is that the full amount is credited back instantly.

It can take a long time to plough through a couple of tournaments – you need to be in a comfortable environment – well, at least in our opinion you do – so we think this is an area that is important.
